How was the Qur’an preserved during the Prophet’s time? Why not compiled into one book?

Answer:

• The Qur’an was memorized by many Sahaba and written on bones, leaves, leather, etc.

• The Prophet (SAAS) had scribes like Zayd ibn Thabit who wrote revelations.

• It was not compiled into a single book during his life because:

  • Revelation continued until his death.

  • Verses were revealed at different times and events.

  • The arrangement was given by Jibreel (AS) later.
